new age music: there's an app for that!

not that i want you (or me) to sound like michael bolton (notice: no link?) or yanni...but i love me some iphone apps!...and Ocarina is yet another app in my arsenal of silliness...and time wasters. the developers use the Iphone’s built-in movement sensors and touch screen to form a keyed instrument…or a kind of flute, by detecting the passage of your blown breath and translating it into intensity of sound. you can upload your new age masterpiece to the Ocarina online community and listen to the work of others. can you get more contemporary than a virtual instrument that automatically shares its output ? ...and its an iphone, of course: how cool are you?

laptop and iphone skins

laptop and iphone skins
my macbook pro is two years old and is a little knicked, so i have been thinking about getting a custom skin for it...that and i have seen multiple blog postings and ads in the last few days on the subject. there are a lot of cool options out there and companies like gelaskins employ some amazing artists and graphic designers, or you can customize it with your own design: the options are limitless! here is a great posting from weburbanist on the latest trends.

i broke my i-phone screen

tragedy happened on my tiled kitchen floor: the i-phone was momentarily out of her case, when she slipped from my grasp, plunged headlong onto the hard black floor below, and shattered into a million shards. i am devastated, and run to macbook pro for advise: he sends me to youtube.com, where i am taught how to disassemble the device, separate the glass from the digitizer and replace the screen while voiding apple's warranty. i am not sure why i have a warranty. i head to the apple store, make an appointment at the genius bar, and $200 later, we have a new screen. shit.

super new i-phone app

i love my i-phone: we do everything together!
the phone itself is so cool (except the very sub-standard camera which i actually like using cuz it is kinda lame)! the best thing about the i-phone is all the applications (apps) that you can easily upload. i have apps to help me loss weight, keep me organized, stream the current weather radar, find out where i am and where i am going, show me tonite's constellations, sample crazy sounds, schedule fake phone calls. i go fishing, bowl with the mister, dance with my thumbs, identify birds while i'm walking oto...on and on ( i have 8 pages!). there are 25,000 apps and growing! yesterday my baby brother threw his hat in the ring with his first app for the i-phone! the BABY SUPER TRACKER was developed to help parents keep baby organized and up to date...its fun...its useful and my nephew is on the cover page!
