are you a fan?

i am not really into facebook like a lot of people: i feel funny posting my eating habits to my friends-on line or i.r.l....i dont want anyone's opinion on my outfits...and i'm not really into television (that i care to speak out loud about)or movies. so, i'm there...on facebook...but, i only participate when forced, er, poked. today i unabashedly opened a business page, which used to be called a 'fan' page, i think. i figure i work a lot on a bunch of different projects all at the same time, and maybe somebody might be interested...or 'like' it, i mean. so i spent the last five days figuring out a design for my main page, and then how to load it in 'fbml' (really?), and that was a trick, mind you! then how to install my two etsy shops on separate clickable pages, which was also interesting! it's done now, so please go to

fishing for striped bass on etsy

all the mister has been talking about lately is 'fishing'...striped bass fishing in particular. striped bass season opened up two weeks ago on the chesapeake, and he hasn't been able to go. he just sits there on his computer, looking at boats and photos of fish other people caught. inspired by his fish gibberish, i made this enameled striped bass pendant hanging from a sterling silver line for fish lovers everywhere.

went with the mister to buy fishing stuff at rw sport shop and take photos for my fake fishing blog...they have cool stuff there, including an abundant-and neatly organized- fish spice selection. who knew?

happy birthday!

today is the mister's birthday: he is sooo old! i got him a lot of cool stuff to help take the edge off: dewalt cordless saw, bykali belt buckle via etsy , m"n"m treasures belt buckle also through etsy, waterproof binoculars for when he's fishing. i also made him a few things: a t-shirt with the silhouette of his boat; another one of a gorgeous chesapeake bay deadrise boat; amethyst and sterling silver cuff links and studs; and buttons! i fabricated these buttons out of an old hammered flask found at a flea market some months ago...took three hours, but i finally sew'd them on his favorite jacket so he can wear it today: shiny!
