my name is lynda andrews-barry and i am all about random adventures in cyberspace...
not anywhere else, though: i like a schedule!
i am an artist living and working in a 120-year old house in kensington, maryland and playing and recharging in a mid-century modern cabin in northumberland county, virginia with my husband and black lab, oto. i am also an award winning jeweler, painter, designer, interior architect and master gardener. for the past fifteen years, i have been making a living selling my work at art festivals, in galleries, and at craft shows throughout the united states. in january 2008, i opened my first on-line jewelry shop on etsy, design options, and immediately plunged headlong into cyberspace. soon after, i opened my second etsy shop, herban elements and a european shop via dawanda, high contrast. i design (and redesign), manage my own website, joined facebook, and began sending tweets on twitter about my minute-by-minute musings. i started blogging here on handmade modern jewelry and design, on the rusty hoe about gardening, and for my husband's alter-egos on i am the angry fisherman and how to ride a motorcycle. this blog serves as an on line visual diary of the mash up i call "my life": part stuff i find on the web; part real life, but all very random.
