after packing up some orders and heading to the post office, i am meeting cherie for a long walk through rock creek park down to the tidal basin to see the cherry blossoms first hand. cherie did this amazing archival print of

the national cherry blossom festival opened last saturday here in dc and the blossoms downtown should be at their peak bloom this weekend. i have an excursion planned for tomorrow to see the pinkness for myself! this is a photo of a weeping cherry tree in rock creek park near my house in maryland i took yesterday. click here to see the necklace i donated for the "pink tie party" auction to benefit the annual festival!
