day 22: design something every day

yeah: a camp fire ring, that's what i'm thinking. i found this fantastic faux bois rubber-y lit camp fire thing a few years back in the gutter. i cant wait to have it cast in silver because i love this ring! who has marshmallows? (i do)

design something every day: day 4

a series of rings set with various semi precious stones has emerged from my design something every day challenge. today is day 4 and i found a pink quartz (?) cylindrical large holed bead that i will line with a sterling silver tube cut and formed to wrap over the bead at the top and soldered to a bezel on the ring shank at the bottom. i think its fun...and pink.

with 4 minutes to go in the design something every day challenge, i am quickly posting a ring design inspired by the broken stone (?) donut given to me in a grab bag of stuff from my mom. the concept is to fabricate a ring shank from acid etched sterling silver that mimics the grey-black pattern in the stone and set the stone in a custom bezel. large!
