world-renowned chef jean-georges vongerichten continues his world-wind restaurant expansion with the opening of j & g steakhouse in the w hotel across the street from the white house. having eaten more than my fair share of times at jean georges in the one central park west, i cant wait to dig in dc!

sign of the times: that's the signtologist! using street signs as his canvas, dan ericson aka the signtologist paints icons for all to see. his style reminds me of andy warhol's rendition of alberto korda's photograph of che guevara. he has even done a halting tribute to michael jackson, the way i prefer to remember the king of pop.

yeah: i love my iphone and i cant wait to get the new one: problem is, my contract is only a few months old, so i dont qualify for the "discount" price yet. i can wait! meanwhile, i am taking photos..pulling the color out on color splash...putting it back with brushes.
